The new room has many purposes!

We have a small home since our two sons are grown and gone and living in Los Angeles and Washington DC.  When they come home we needed another bed besides the fold out couch so we put a futon in my craft room! It is a great place for me to put projects I am working on when no one is staying!

 Since its almost Christmas time I made a pretty wreath and my husband hung a beautiful chandelier up over my grandfather's desk where I keep my magazines and catalogs.  A couple years ago I bought the cubby and it has been waiting in our work shed until I had a room to put it in.  I was able to put a lot of my crafting supplies in it

!

Because I like a lot of light my husband hung little white lights around the top of the room all the way around it.  Even on the gloomiest of days my room is cheerful!

My wonderful room!

I love to create and my husband just built a wonderful room where I can create to my hearts content and not destroy our home!  I had a shop for 22 years called Feathering Your Nest. We sold it this year and are now doing shows.  Right now I am doing two shows at Warrenton and Roundtop and two at the Dallas Market.  My purpose with this blog is to show folks what I am working on and share stories with other women who have similiar interests!
I am going to start with a picture of my new room!  My  husband, Mike started this room about six months ago and worked on it off and on until it was finished in time for our sons to come for the holidays.
